Some examples of this data include your account preferences, user specific information on pages accessed, searched terms or addresses entered, and previous visits to the sites. 5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Controls
Do Not Track (“DNT”) is a privacy preference that users can set in some web browsers, allowing users to opt out of tracking by websites and online services. At the present time, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has not yet established universal standards for recognizable DNT signals and therefore, Metro and the Sites do not recognize DNT.
6. Links to Other Websites
This website may contain links to other sites that are not controlled in any way by us. Please be aware of this when you click on any such links; we are not responsible for the privacy practices and/or policies of any website other than our own. Consequently, we strongly suggest that you review the privacy policy of every website you visit, whether or not they are linked to by our own site.
7. Opt-Out
We also provide visitors to our website the opportunity to receive communications from us. In this case, we ask the visitor for his or her email address and name. These communications will include our promotions and any other information that we feel may be pertinent to the visitor. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these marketing communications by emailing us at support@metrocomm.com by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in any email we send to you, or by replying to any email we send you and entering the word UNSUBSCRIBE, STOP or OPT OUT in the subject line.
8. Access to Personal Information

9. Data Security
We use industry-standard techniques on the Sites to help to protect any personal information you have provided to us from loss, misuse or alteration. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage can ever be 100% secure. Therefore, as is the case with any organization, we are not in a position to guarantee the absolute security of your information. In this regard, we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data while you are on the Internet. At a minimum, we encourage you to make sure that you are using a secure browser as you surf the Internet. With respect to video support sessions, we use encryption in transit for all video data transmitted during sessions and, where sessions are recorded and stored, apply access controls limiting viewing to authorized Metro personnel for the purposes described in this policy.
10. Video-Assisted Technical Support Sessions
Metro offers an optional video-assisted technical support feature that allows you to share your device camera with a Metro technician during a technical support call. Participation in a video support session is entirely voluntary. The following describes how this feature works and how your information is handled.
How Video Sharing Works. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to share a one-way video feed from your device camera with your Metro support technician. The technician can view what your camera captures—such as your modem, router, cabling, or other equipment—but cannot access or control your device. You cannot view the technician’s camera during a session. You may end the video session at any time by disconnecting from the video link or requesting to end the session verbally.
Consent Required. Before your camera feed is activated, you will be asked to affirmatively consent to camera sharing for that specific support session. Your verbal consent, provided on a recorded support call, and/or your on-screen acceptance of a consent prompt within the video platform, constitutes your agreement to share your camera for that session only. Consent to a prior video session does not constitute consent to any future session.
Use of Video Session Data. Video session data is used solely to provide you with technical support and improve our services. We do not use video session data for marketing purposes or share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the service or as required by law.
Third-Party Platform. Video support sessions are facilitated through Talkdesk, Inc. and its Auvious video platform. When you participate in a video session, your video data is transmitted through Talkdesk’s systems. Talkdesk processes this data as a service provider on our behalf and is contractually required to handle your data only for the purpose of providing the service and in compliance with applicable privacy laws. For more information on Talkdesk’s data practices, please visit https://www.talkdesk.com/terms-of-service/privacy-notice/.
Your Choices. Participation in video-assisted technical support is always optional. Declining to participate will not affect your ability to receive other technical support services. If you have questions or concerns about video support sessions, or to request deletion of a recorded session, please contact us at support@metrocomm.com.
11. Social Media
We maintain a social media presence, such as a Facebook page, an Instagram page and a Twitter feed. You can interact with us through social media, such as by entering our contests, posting content, sharing material from our Sites, and using our social media plug-ins. When you interact with us using social media, we may receive information such as your user ID, your profile picture, photos you post, and similar information, which is often determined by your privacy settings at social media sites. We may use the information for the same types of purposes we describe throughout this privacy policy. Your use of social media sites is primarily governed by the site operators’ privacy policies and terms of service, and the information you share with us and with others is largely controlled by the privacy settings you have established at those sites.
12. Children’s Privacy
Our Sites are not specifically directed toward children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 18 on our Sites without verifiable parental consent. Minors under 18 years of age may have the personal information that they provide to us through the Sites deleted by sending an email to support@metrocomm.com requesting deletion. Please note that, while we make reasonable efforts to comply with such requests, deletion of your personal information does not ensure complete and comprehensive removal of that data from all systems.
13. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may occasionally make changes to our privacy policy to reflect changes in legal and regulatory requirements, or as necessary as we upgrade or modify our technology, applications and service offerings. When we do, we will post the change(s) on our website. We recommend you visit our site to review our privacy policies occasionally.
